Big brands have adopted social practices through the likes of Fairtrade product sourcing and community outreach, in line with growing demand for corporate responsibility. And you know what? It works.
Companies such as Ben & Jerry’s, Yeo Valley and Richer Sounds are being celebrated for the way they treat employees, source their materials and help the environment. Ethics are in, and these companies are reaping the benefits of benefiting everyone else.
On the other hand, numerous scandals over the years have proven financial loss comes with unethical practices such as deception and misinformation. The horse meat scandal cost Tesco £300m and L’Oréal’s attempts to cover up an unethical supply chain has led to a string of boycotts.
In this workshop, we’ll look at how to ensure an ethical approach across all aspects of business: from consumer concerns, staffing, supply chain, paying taxes and composing an ethical policy for your company.
