People often understand the art of Marketing – the adverts, the graphics, social media posting – but what about the science? Marketing is all about observing behaviour and trends, analysing the situation and creating content that encourages consumers to engage. There’s a lot more to it than pretty pictures and punchy text!
In this workshop, experienced marketer Jackie Harris will walk you through some of the basic marketing skills that you need to take to get your business off the ground:
- Getting the audience right and clarity on your ‘ideal’ customer
- Positioning yourself in the market
- How to create clear messages that will attract your ideal customers to you
- A practical formula for creating your online presence
- How to create a very simple marketing activity calendar
At the end of the workshop, you will understand the factors affecting your business, who your customers are, and have a plan from which to start your marketing efforts. Of course, if you’ve got a product or service to sell, it’s important to make sure it’s priced correctly. After this workshop, we recommend learning about how to price your product or service with Understanding Business Finance.
- 1.5 hours long
