Portfolio careers are on the rise and you do not want to miss out!
Poppy Waters who is Entrepreneur and Lecturer in Enterprise at UCLan will lead this workshop.
People use the term ‘portfolio career’ in different ways and you might be wondering which definition is right. Well, it’s probably all of them.
Have you ever wondered what life would be like if you could do a little bit of this and a little bit of that rather than following a predetermined job role? A portfolio career does exactly that – the term is used as an umbrella for anyone who makes their own career from several different places. You can combine different interests simultaneously, or one after the other in shorter contracts.
Whether you’re already planning your future or genuinely never thought about it before, come along to this workshop to find out how to create a portfolio career that you’ll love.
This short workshop will cover:
- Creating a portfolio career
- The varying types of portfolio career
- Some of the common blocks that make up a portfolio
- Benefits and opportunities
- Dealing with common issues that come from a portfolio career
- 1.5 hours long
- Tea and coffee will be provided
These workshops are partially funded by the U Start project to support students, graduates and university staff to unlock their entrepreneurial potential and become enterprise ready.
